WHO ARE WE?
Pride Durham plays an important role in the social aspect of the 2SLGBTQ+ community. We are not just a standard event planning organization; we use social programming as a platform to create dialogue, real-life experiences, and meaningful connections between 2SLGBTQ+ members of the community, friends, families, and workplaces. We aim to create a place for important conversations to begin. We are the forefront of many people’s journeys in regard to gender, sexual orientations, and identities. We are sometimes the family for those who do not have the privilege to have close connections at home; and at other times, we are the event that gives someone the opportunity to fully express them selves without discrimination or restrictions. In a world full of barriers and challenges, we must stick together and be passionate for change, growth and harmony. By supporting our organization, you are taking a step toward progressively changing the environment for a better and brighter future in Durham Region.
Our Mission.
Through social programming, such as festivals and events that highlight the 2SLGBTQ+ community, Pride Durham continues to celebrate and educate the residents of Durham Region. In doing so, Pride Durham aims to achieve unity and acceptance across the entirety of the region.
Foundation Partners
These organizations are the back bone to the work we do within the community. They support our efforts, dreams and goals to make Durham a safer and more open place to work, play, and live. Without them, the work we do would be much more difficult and progress would be much slower.
We must find ways to help each other so that we can grow together and address real issues that affect our community.

Pride Durham strives to empower the 2SLGBTQ+ community and Allies to be bold and committed to creating safer spaces within Durham Region. Through social events, and a public presence, Pride Durham envisions a region that is inspired by openness, honesty, and harmony.

Whether that’s through better social engagement, navigating resources, or taking a stand together.
